SoldAK003
My first sold AK-branded timepiece: an all-black diver-style build on a comfortable rubber strap.

AK003 was my first sold watch carrying the AK Timepieces name, so it will always have a special place in this archive. I wanted an all-black diver-style watch with a strong, monochrome presence—black case, black dial and a rubber strap—but with a small red seconds detail to make it feel lively.
I built it around a genuine NH35 automatic movement and spent time running and wearing it before listing. Its sale was an encouraging moment: proof that an independently assembled watch with my own dial signature could find a buyer. The close-up in the gallery is an enlarged crop of the original archival photograph, not a separate camera angle.
Sold archive. Gallery includes an original watch photograph and a close-up crop of that same photograph; additional original angles are not currently available.
ACTUAL WATCH PHOTOGRAPHThe first image is a tonal edit of my original photograph. Additional views show the actual assembled watch.
AP001 came before the AK name was formally established. I was experimenting with octagonal designs, and the white textured dial gave this early build a clean, bright personality. Its integrated-style steel bracelet and angular case were a departure from the classic field-watch look I also enjoy.
When AP001 sold, it was a meaningful first milestone for my watch-building hobby. It helped convince me that I could turn lessons at the bench into complete watches people were willing to purchase. I keep it in the archive under its original AP001 identifier, distinct from my later AK-branded pieces.
Shown in my historical archive; this individual watch is no longer available.
